This bucolic English AONB is one of Britain’s most beloved hiking destinations. There are countless trails to suit all wants and abilities, from leisurely strolls around stately homes to uphill rambles along its limestone ridges. But no walk is more famous in this neck of the woods than the Cotswold Way.
Stretching 102 miles from Chipping Campden to Bath, the Cotswold Way takes most hikers a week to complete from start to finish. But you don’t have to take on the whole trek. Many holidaymakers hike sections of the Cotswold Way for a day or even just a couple of hours. So, jump on where you want and prepare to be enchanted as you pass thatched-roofed villages, historic landmarks and rustic pubs.
Round it off by staying in one of our luxury Cotswold cottages. From big family affairs to romantic retreats for two, our growing portfolio of stays has something for every traveller.
No guest loves walkies as much as our four-legged ones and there are so many dog-friendly routes to choose from across Britain. After a stimulating day with lots of new smells, your four-legged friend deserves a cosy place to rest their paws too.
We’re a community of dog lovers here at Luxury Cottages and so we have a wide selection of holiday homes which welcome fur babies. Our dog-friendly cottages have secure gardens so your pet is free to roam or burst into spontaneous zoomies without wondering off. Most hosts leave an empty dog basket and some tidbits for your pet during their stay, but you’re more than welcome to bring their own bed from home along with their favourite toys.
